INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1 + ⅓ cup Rice Long grain rice
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil or vegetable or sunflower oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 medium Green Bell pepper chopped
- 1 tablespoon Chilli or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
- 5 g Beef Bouillon (optional)
- 1 (14oz) can Chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Puree
- 1.5 tablespoon Worcester sauce
- 2.5 cups Water
- Cheese Optional
TIP: To make it leaner you can substitute ground turkey or chicken.
DIRECTIONS
- Place a skillet on the stove, add olive oil, onions, and garlic and saute for a minute before adding the bell pepper.
- Add in the ground beef, chilli, black pepper and bouillon. Stir and cook till the meat is no longer pink.
- Cook for 2 minutes then drain the fat from the meat. Add in tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, worcester sauce, and salt.
- Cook for 2 minutes then add in rice. Add water, cover the skillet with a lid then cook on low heat for 30 minutes or till rice is tender.
- Stir the sauce with the rice and take off heat.Serve and enjoy.
