Cyndi Lauper Shares UNTOLD Stories Behind ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ and More Hits
Cyndi Lauper takes a trip down memory lane with ET's Emily Curl, more than 40 years after her first ET interview!

The music icon looks back at the making of her 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' music video, revealing how the low-budget shoot relied on borrowed clothes and makeup, products which left her with pink eye! Plus, Lauper reveals she had to fight to write 'Time After Time' when her record label wanted her to record someone else's song, hoping the hit would prove she could write her own material. The interview comes as more than 300 of her personal belongings and iconic outfits head to auction at Bonhams, including pieces from her 'True Colors' era. And she's not done reinventing herself, teasing changes to her stage show when she returns to Las Vegas in 2027.
