This sweet and tangy balsamic glaze is an easy, delicious topping for roasted or grilled vegetables, bruschetta, pizza, fruit, and more!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- Optional sweetener: 1 to 2 tablespoons honey, maple syrup or brown sugar
NOTE: Technically you don't need the sweetener. Just the vinegar. The sweetener takes away some of the "bite" of the vinegar and adds that little extra flair in flavor.
DIRECTIONS
- Add the balsamic vinegar and any sweetener to a small pot. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until the sauce coats the back of a spoon. It should have reduced about 75%.
- Use immediately or store in a sealed container in the fridge. It will continue to thicken up as it cools.
