Tulugaak - The Origin of Light

In this tale from Inuit legend, the world was once cloaked in never ending darkness. No sun, no moon, no stars to illuminate the sky. A girl who lived during this time accidentally swallowed a feather floating towards her, and later gave birth to a child with a raven's beak in place of a nose and mouth. Though this child, named Tulugaak, is certainly strange looking, his actions would lead to the birth of light in the world.
