What you should know: If Bloom was the coming-of-age of a queer artist called to embody the sexual celebration of a generation that was no longer forced to codify their antics to penetrate mainstream, Something To Give Each Other is the South African-Australian enfant terrible's ultimate release, a vital, intoxicating album that condenses joy, sadness and lust in 90s house beats, synth-pop half-times and samples from Jessica Pratt and Bag Raiders, with alchemists of pop royalty on production.
What you don't necessarily need to know, but it's cool: Popular ex-youtuber and actor since he was a kid, you might remember him as young Logan in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he played Oliver Twist in a musical, starred in the Spud trilogy and we've seen him in Boy Erased, Three Months and HBO's recent The Idol.
Why is he at Primavera Sound? Because he is the pop star of the moment, the demon twink we have always needed, and now he is proudly claiming the spotlight for himself.
You'll like him if you like... Homoerotic hedonism, crossdressing and last-minute booty calls, sweaty high bpms clubs but also mid-tempo tenderness that cures breakups.
