The song was performed in the film Voyage of the Rock Aliens, in which Zadora played the lead role. Before being released in the United States, this track reached number one in several European countries. The song failed to capitalize on its European success in America, but fared better on the US dance charts.
The song was written for a weird science fiction action film called This Was Better in Europe, where it reached number one in several countries, including Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. It peaked at number 22 on the US Dance Club Songs chart.
