This quick and easy Avocado Sauce is a balanced combination of creamy and spicy. It’s made with tasty, fresh ingredients that pair with a variety of dishes.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Ripe avocados
- 2 Jalapeno peppers chopped (About ½ cup or more) *see note
- 2 Cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup Fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 tablespoon Limes Juiced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
- ½ cup Water
DIRECTIONS
- Prepare the ingredients by cutting the avocados, seeding and chopping the jalapeño peppers, mincing the garlic cloves, and rinsing and drying the cilantro leaves.
- In a blender or food processor, combine the avocados, chopped jalapeños, minced garlic, cilantro leaves, lime juice, salt, pepper and water.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, adjusting the consistency with additional water if necessary.
- Season the hot sauce with salt and pepper to taste, and adjust the heat level by adding more jalapeño if desired.
- Transfer the hot sauce to a clean jar or airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Before serving, give the sauce a good stir to mix any separated ingredients.
- Enjoy your creamy avocado hot sauce as a topping for tacos, burritos, grilled chicken, eggs, or as a dip for chips or veggies.
