Turkish Style Spicy Tomato Dip
Possibly the most common appetizer dishes in Turkey. The Turkish version of salsa dip with fresh tomatoes, chilies, onions and a spicy sauce. Usually served with kebabs but the recipe itself is vegan and full of vitamins.

INGREDIENTS

  • half a bunch parsley
  • 1 red onion
  • 3 green peppers
  • 1 red paprika pepper
  • 3 medium size tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemons
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried peppermint
  • 1 tsp blackpepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp sumak
  • 1 tbsp chili paste

DIRECTIONS

  1. Dice up all the fresh herbs and veggies (except garlic and lemon) and put into a big bowl.
  2. Dice up the garlic and put in a second bowl.
  3. Add the lemon juice to the garlic.
  4. Add the olive oil to the garlic.
  5. Add the dried herbs and chili paste to the garlic.
  6. Whisk it all together.
  7. Dump over the top of the veggies and fresh herbs.
  8. Mix well to combine.
  9. Put on a serving dish or in a serving bowl.
  10. Enjoy!
