Soft, buttery buns stuffed with seasoned taco meat and melty cheese for an easy, portable twist on taco night.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Tube of Grands Biscuits (8 biscuits)
- 1 Onion, diced
- 1 Jalapeno, diced
- 2-3 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning
- 1 tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
- Cotija Cheese
- 1 Egg, beaten for egg wash
- Chili Flakes
DIRECTIONS
- Pre-heat oven to 375°F
- In a hot pan on medium heat, heat up some oil then toss in your veggies and cook until they soften and get some color
- Clear out a landing spot in the middle and add a little oil and your garlic, let that cook until fragrant, about 45 seconds, then stir in
- Add your beef and cook that until browned, then add taco seasoning and chipotle chili powder, stir that in and cook for a few more minutes
- Once your beef is cooked all the way through, kill the heat and let it cool
- Separate your biscuts and roll them out until they are thin
- Put a large spoonful of your filling in the middle of each one, then shove a chunk of cotija cheese in the middle then wrap the edges up and around, then twist and pinch to seal the opening, then flip them over and place on a parchment-lined sheet pan
- Brush your buns with egg wash and sprinkle chili flakes over the top
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, then let them cool and you’re ready to serve
