Quick Greek Breadsticks Without Yeast
Crunchy breadsticks that are perfect for dips and for snacking. Roll them in “Everything Bagel Mix” for a burst of flavor or in your favorite combination of seeds.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups (250 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1 and ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup (150 grams) olive oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F, 180 °C.
  2. In the bowl of a tabletop mixer that has been fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the olive oil, water, and sugar. 
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and whisk them together.
  4. Add the flour to the mixer and mix on low speed until combined.
  5. Transfer to a bowl and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough out into a rectangle that is ½ inch thick.
  7. Cut into 16-17 strips and roll them into cylinders.
  8. Place the sesame seeds or the everything bagel seasoning into a shallow bowl.
  9. Roll each cylinder in the seeds and place them on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake on the center rack for about 35-40 minutes.
  11. Allow them to cool completely and serve with your favorite dips.

Notes: Store leftovers in an airtight container and at room temperature.
