Crunchy breadsticks that are perfect for dips and for snacking. Roll them in “Everything Bagel Mix” for a burst of flavor or in your favorite combination of seeds.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups (250 grams) all-purpose flour
- 1 and ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup (150 grams) olive oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F, 180 °C.
- In the bowl of a tabletop mixer that has been fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the olive oil, water, and sugar.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and whisk them together.
- Add the flour to the mixer and mix on low speed until combined.
- Transfer to a bowl and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle that is ½ inch thick.
- Cut into 16-17 strips and roll them into cylinders.
- Place the sesame seeds or the everything bagel seasoning into a shallow bowl.
- Roll each cylinder in the seeds and place them on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper.
- Bake on the center rack for about 35-40 minutes.
- Allow them to cool completely and serve with your favorite dips.
Notes: Store leftovers in an airtight container and at room temperature.
