Lower back pain can be a...let's just say...pain!  It can magically appear; stay for a while and then disappear.  I dont' know about you but I have been working from home for the last couple of years. 

Although I had the same problem when I was in the office.  Sitting in that chair at that desk for hours a day.  I am even worse with working from home as it is so easy to just sit down and do a little work late at night.  Even with getting up your lower back occassionally hurts from the spinal compression. 

I've had many x-rays and scans and never anything found.  I used to be a competitive athlete (still in dance and gymnastics for fun) so their thought was spinal fractures.  Nope!  I'm just now getting over another bout of lower back pain that lasted about a week.  It hurt down the hips and into the legs.  Upon research there are various exercises you can do while at your desk.

Make sure you periodically get up and stretch that body out.  Don't sit for hours without moving.  That is the worst thing you can do for your back (and body in general).  Here are some helpful videos to get you going.
