How to Make the Absolute Easiest Ever Biscuits
Combining methods from drop and cream biscuits, Dan demonstrates a quick technique using warm heavy cream to create a tender, flavorful dough. These biscuits require no rolling or cutting and are ready in just minutes.

INREDIENTS

  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour 
  • 4 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tbsps Melted Butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees before starting
  2. Wisk dry ingredients until combined
  3. Place 2 cups Heavy Cream in microwave (60-90 seconds until it reaches 100 degrees)
  4. Add cream. Stir to combine
  5. Line Baking tray with parchment paper
  6. Use a 1/3 measuring cup sprayed with cooking spray to scoop out biscuit dough on to Baking tray
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes on upper middle rack of oven; rotate tray half way through
  8. Remove from oven and brush on 2 Tbsp of melted butter
  9. Let rest 5 minutes before eating

TIPS

  • To replace 2 cups of heavy cream in a biscuit recipe, use 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk combined with 1/2 cup (1 stick) of melted, unsalted butter.
  • Add any herbs to your dough that you wish.  Some suggestions are rosemary, thyme, oregano and chives.
  • Make up some garlic or herb butter to serve with this.
