The Great Depression of the 1930s is not a time in history that we would want to repeat. Unemployment was high, housing prices plummeted, international trade collapsed, and there was a rapid rise in crime rates.

Of course, there were a few positive things that came out of the Great Depression. Great inventions and ideas came out of the era, and the population of the time learned the value of resiliency. One of the areas where creativity and resiliency flourished was in the food people ate.
