In this edition of Epicurious 101, professional chef and chef instructor Frank Proto demonstrates how to level up your biscuit game with his favorite chocolate cookie recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup room temp butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups All purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
DIRECTIONS
- Pre-heat oven to 350º
- Blend the softened butter alone first.
- Add 1 egg and vanilla. Blend well.
- Add the second egg and blend.
- Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl first.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
