The 3 Best Copycat Goya Seasoning Recipes
Why buy Goya seasonings when you can make your own? This video tutorial will show you how to make an indistinguishable replica of Goya's 3 most used seasoning blends: Adobo, Sazonador Total, and Sazon con Asafran.

Whether you can't have MSG, need something with lower sodium, can't find Goya in your local store, or don't want to buy Goya products anymore...this is the video for you!

Goya Adobo

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 3 tbsp Salt (I used Table Salt. If you are using Kosher Salt, increase by a 1/4 Tbl and grind longer.)
  • 1 tsp Oregano (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp Tumeric

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pulverize 1 tsp dried Oregano in a mortar and pestle (or crush in a Ziploc bag) until a fine powder.

  2. Strain Oregano through a strainer and into a bowl, so you don't have any large pieces.

  3. To bowl, add 3 Tbl Garlic Powder, 3 Tbl Salt, and 1/2 tsp Tumeric. Mix well.

  4. In small batches, add the mix to a coffee/spice grinder. Grind for 5 -7 pulses until a fine powder consistency.

  5. Store in a jar or spice shaker. Buen Provecho!

Goya Sazonador Total

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Dehydrated Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dehydrated Minced Onion
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp MSG (you can leave this out)
  • 1 tbsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 tbsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin

DIRECTIONS

  • In a bowl, add 2 tbsp Garlic Powder, 1 tbsp Dehydrated Garlic, 1 tbsp Onion Powder, 1 tbsp Dehydrated Minced Onion, 1 tbsp Salt, 1/4 tsp MSG, 1 tbsp Dried Parsley, 1 tbsp Dried Oregano, and 1/2 tsp Cumin.
  • Mix well.
  • Add into a coffee/spice grinder in batches and pulse 5 times. You want to have larger pieces!
  • Store in a jar or spice shaker. Buen Provecho!

Goya Sazon con Asafran

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dehydrated Garlic
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp MSG (optional)
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Bijol

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl, add 2 tbsp Garlic Powder, 1 tbsp Dehydrated Garlic, 2 1/2 tbsp Salt, 1/4 tsp MSG, 1 tsp Turmeric, and 1 1/2 tbsp Bijol.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add into a coffee/spice grinder in batches and pulse 6 – 8 times until the Dehydrated Garlic is as fine as the smaller particles.
  4. Store in a jar or spice shaker. Buen Provecho!
