The show, created by Tony-winner Cole Escola, bends history and provides a winning vehicle for Monsoon as Mary Todd Lincoln.
Jinkx Monsoon steps into the wildly inventive, camp-infused Broadway comedy Oh, Mary! in the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, beginning August 4, 2025, at the Lyceum Theatre.
In Cole Escola’s absurdist rewrite of history—equal parts cabaret fantasy and drag‐soaked satire—Mary isn’t worrying about politics or family; she’s a disillusioned, paint-thinning-drinking would-be cabaret star, with ambitions far more scandalous than saving the Union.
Jinkx brings theatrical prowess from prior Broadway triumphs like Chicago and Pirates! The Penzance Musical to this eight-week run through September 28, embodying a Mary who’s as unhinged as she is unapologetically funny.
