Quickest and easiest no yeast donuts. Just like my mother makes them.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3/4 cup fresh milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3+1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups All purpose flour
- Oil for frying
Topping (optional)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting if you don't want the glaze
DIRECTIONS
- Mix everything together
- Roll them out
- Cut and separate donut hole from donut
- Fry a few at a time
- Set on cooling rack or paper towel
- (optional) Mix up the glaze and pour over the top
TIPS
- Dust with powdered sugar if you don't want glaze
- Compeletely leave off the topping if you want to just dip the plain donuts in milk or coffee
