Manon is a dramatic three-act ballet choreographed by Sir Kenneth MacMillan, premiering in 1974 with The Royal Ballet. Based on the 1731 novel Manon Lescaut by Abbé Prévost, it follows the tragic story of a young woman torn between her love for the impoverished student Des Grieux and her desire for a luxurious life. It is set to a curated score of Jules Massenet music.
