Adam Lambert is embracing the dance floor once again with his electrifying new single, “UNDER THE RHYTHM,” the second preview from his upcoming sixth studio album, ADAM. The track finds the singer-songwriter drawing inspiration from one of the biggest Eurodance hits of the early 2000s, sampling ATC's infectious global smash “Around the World (La La La La La)” and transforming it into something entirely his own.
While ATC's original version was known for its bright, carefree energy and instantly recognizable “la la la” hook, Lambert reimagines the melody within a darker electronic landscape. The result is a pulsating dance anthem that blends nostalgia with modern production, reflecting the alternative and electronica influences that have shaped much of the upcoming album.
According to Lambert, the song carries a deeper meaning than its club-ready sound might suggest. He describes “UNDER THE RHYTHM” as an anthem about perseverance, healing, and finding strength through music. The song encourages listeners to keep moving forward through life's challenges, one beat and one dance at a time.
The accompanying music video expands on those themes. “UNDER THE RHYTHM” follows the release of Lambert's previous single “EAT U ALIVE,” further showcasing the darker sonic direction of ADAM. The album, scheduled for release on July 10, marks Lambert's first collection of original material since 2020's Velvet and promises an ambitious blend of electronic, alternative, and pop influences.
