
When Grease came out in 1978, the Randal Kleiser-directed film was such a hit that the studio planned to make three sequels.
However, the first sequel, Grease 2 (1982), was a bomb. As a result, future plans for the franchise quickly evaporated. Still, in recent years, Grease 2 has enjoyed a resurgence and become somewhat of a cult hit. But how does the infamous sequel genuinely stack up against the timeless original?
