Easy Starbucks style syrups for coffee drinks, Vanilla Latte, Macchiato, Cake, and more.
For this first one we shall tackle the Vanilla syrup. It's so easy. You're basically making a simple syrup but switching up the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup water
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
- Pour the sugar, salt and water into a saucepan
- Over medium heat, stir slowly until the sugar is completely dissolved
- When the syrup starts to boil, let it boil for 5 more minutes over low heat
- Take it off the heat
- Let cool (20-30 minutes)
- Add the vanilla extracts and mix
Vanilla Syrup
For this next one we will create a caramel syrup. Just like the Vanilla syrup it is a few simple and standard simple syrup ingredients. This time we are cooking it a little differently since we have to make actual caramel before thinning it out.
