Hamburger Hash is a hearty skillet meal made with seasoned ground beef,crispy potatoes, onions, garlic, and peppers all cooked together in one pan foran easy, comforting dish packed with flavor.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 medium potatoes diced
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ½ red bell pepper diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ beef broth
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fork tender.
- Add diced onion and red bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Push the vegetables and potatoes to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Sprinkle in chili powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together until fully combined. Add beef broth and ketchup.
- Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes so the flavors blend together and the potatoes develop additional crispy edges.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot straight from the skillet.
