Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodles
Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodles
This is the ultimate "fix it and forget it" meal—the crockpot does all the heavy lifting, leaving you with tender beef and rich, savory noodles that taste like they took all day to make.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 packet Lipton French Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 packet Brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup Sliced mushrooms (fresh or canned, drained)
  • ½ cup Chopped onion
  • 1 ½ to 2 lbs Beef stew meat (or cubed chuck roast)
  • 1 bag (12 oz) Wide egg noodles

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix the Gravy Base: Pour 1 cup of water directly into the bottom of your crockpot. Add the Lipton French Onion soup mix, the brown gravy packet, the mushrooms, and the chopped onion. Stir everything right in the pot until well combined.
  2. Add the Beef: Place your beef stew meat into the gravy mixture and give it a gentle stir to coat the meat.
  3. Start Cooking: Cover with the lid and set your crockpot to HIGH.
  4. After it cooks for about an hour you can add another cup of water.
  5. Add the Noodles: After the beef has cooked for 2 hours, open the lid and stir in the egg noodles. Ensure the noodles are submerged in the liquid so they cook evenly.
  6. Finish and Serve: Cover the pot back up and let it finish cooking. Dinner is ready when the beef is completely done and the noodles are perfectly tender!

Note: If you prefer a slow-and-low method, you can run your crockpot on LOW for 6 hours total, adding the noodles during the last 1.5 to 2 hours of cooking time.
