Crispy Steak Fingers
Crispy Steak Fingers
Crispy Steak Fingers are a delicious twist on classic fried comfort food. Tender strips of steak are coated in a seasoned breading, fried until crunchy, and served with your favorite dipping sauce. Perfect as a main dish or appetizer!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak cut into 1-inch wide strips
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ tablespoon season salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • ¾ cup buttermilk or regular milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut the beef sirloin or flank steak into strips about 1-inch wide.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, season salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, hot sauce, and buttermilk.
  4. Place the steak strips into the wet mixture. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes to tenderize and infuse flavor.
  5. Remove the steak strips from the marinade and dredge them in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess and place them on a wire rack to rest until all are coated.
  6. Pour vegetable oil into a deep frying pan or skillet and heat to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the coated steak strips in batches for 4–5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan to keep the coating crunchy.
  8. Remove the steak fingers from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with your favorite dipping sauces such as ranch, barbecue, or honey mustard.
