Candy grapes are sweet and sour candy-coated grapes, dipped in melted jolly ranchers then more crushed candy for a delightful crunch. All you need are 5 basic ingredients.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Wash your grapes first and dry.  Ice baths works best but not necessary.
  2. Crush up your candy coating (if you chose to use one) and put into a bowl for dipping.
  3. In a sauce pot combine the sugar, water and corn syrup.  Heat on medium and keep stirring until it reaches 300 degrees.
  4. Add a few drops of gel food coloring (if you want to change the color...otherwise it is clear coated and the color of the grapes)
  5. Put the grapes on toothpicks or skewers and dip in the coating.
  6. As you dip each grape in the liquid coating immediately dip into whatever candy topping you chose (if any...it's optional).
  7. Set each coated grape onto a piece of parchment paper.
  8. Let them sit for about 30 minutes to harden.

TIP

You could also just drizzle leftover liquid candy coating onto the grapes rather than the crushed candy.  Gives it a more "designer" look if you used food coloring.  Like you would do with strawberries.
