Behold

I don't normally write reviews of albums - mostly because while most music touches me, few songs move me. A song touching me is fleeting - like a trend. I'll listen to it and then move on to something else. Music that moves me stays with me. It's long-haul music that never leaves. My Epic's Behold is that kind of album. This is the kind of album that meets a need in me for worship with Jesus that other worship music simply doesn't meet. Worship music is meant to lead you to encounter Jesus - not dominate the conversation. This is that kind of album. While other worship music talks about God's love in almost embarrasingly vague terms, Behold brings both the love of God and the holiness of God together in a marriage of worship music that is stunning and has left me breathless. Since I first heard this album in Dec 2013 to now, I have hardly stopped listening to it. Truly not a day goes by where I don't hear at least one song off this album. It is that good. My Epic's work in this album is that meaningful. For anyone who wants a different type of worship music that engages both repentance and gratitude I highly recommend this album. For additional worship I also recommend the instrumental version of this album and My Epic's Broken Voice album (an acoustic and poetic worship album). Thank you My Epic.

Few albums are actually deserving of all 5 stars on these reviews. People tend to throw them out at every song or album they think they like, but it turns out they were just in a good mood at that moment. That all kind of waters down the gravity of an actual 5-star album, one that truly grasps at what "5-stars" means: perfection. Behold is that album. Flawless. Every element is where it should be. It doesn't cater, doesn't have any filler, fluff, or crap stuffed in it to get sales. Musically, lyrically, and everything-in-between-ly it is done right. I would suggest it if the price was doubled. Every song is worth the album cost.

You will not regret buying this album. Powerful worship that is extremely rare to find

A lyrical present to anyone who opens…Zion is by far my favorite, such a beautiful and sincere lyrical expression of love for Christ.

While the terms "worship music" and "worship songs" tend to get attached to any song with religious overtones, this album is 100% worship to God from beginning to end. The music is fantastic and ambient in its delivery and the lyrical content is second to none with an overall message that echoes the yearning desire from the heart to have fellowship and communion with God.

Their most solid album yet. A better mix, solid lyrics. Best album yet....I hope it gets more people to listen.

What a gift to find this today. This band is criminally unknown. Just awesome stuff musically and lyrically in a world gone crazy with pop. Thanks guys for still making music like this.

I have recently started weeping in public places. The reason is because I have My Epic's albums are showing up on my shuffle and with their songs, no matter where I am, I lose sight of everything and crumble before the Glory of God. My Epic I pray that you stay encouraged in your calling and thank you for you obedience!
