First of all, this album was pretty much intended for them (deicide) to get off of Roadrunner. Glen himself said that it was supposed to be bad. The album itself is ok, but deicide is seriously better than this. Im also happy they left Earache because they are a mere ripoff of other records like Relapse and Metal Blade. Best of luck to deicide on Century Media! Stay metal and praise the underground!! \M/

The album is different from all other Deicide albums, its worth having tho for the true deicide fans. The album is a little on the basic side. Its f**kin heavy and very thrashy.
  • Bonham 45 hits the nail on the head

It is important to remember the reaon this record was even put out. I'll save you the history lesson again. Just read Bonham 45's review for that. If it were not a Deicide album, it would probably receive a little more praise. It's good. It's not great. It's not Deicide. Listen to it with the history in mind and a little sense of humor and it's even decent. If nothing else, the opening sample of Glen Benton and some Radio Evangelist in conversation is worth giving it a listen. If you want a better picture of what Deicide is capable of however, buy Deicide, Scars of the Crucifix, Once Upon the Cross, Stentch of Redemption, and, once it comes out, Till Death Do Us Part. If you like those, you might be ready for the last two Vital Remains records starring Glen Benton on vocals Dechristianize and Icons of Evil. As for this record, listen to the samples and borrow it from a friend.

Ok i understand that this album was rushed, but thats no exuse for putting out crap like this, the lyrics go from cheesy to satanic lollypop for dummies. What we have here in my opinion is 8 tracks of childish wanna be scary and evil but is about as scary as a squeky toy. I wouldent give this as a gift to my friends unless i was very angry at them and wanted them to suffer.
