In brief...it doesn't matter. It's completely cultural. Someone just "decided" what it would be and it caught on. Colors are for everyone. It's just a color. “Pink is for girls and blue is for boys” is something we all grew up hearing, but did you know that this “rule” is relatively recent? Only becoming common practice in the United States in the mid-20th century.
