Wooden Furniture of Herculaneum Preserved From Vesuvius

Wooden furniture is rarely preserved in excavations of Roman sites. An exception is the material from Herculaneum. Usually, these items are not on display, but on the occasion of a new exhibit, we are now able to examine the world of carpentry through these objects of everyday life- and many other artifacts- rarely preserved from Antiquity.
