During Westlife’s 25th anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2025, Shane Filan carried much of the heavy lifting as the primary lead vocalist — a steady anchor with that unmistakable voice that’s weathered time like a cathedral bell. Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan stepped a little beyond their usual roles, sharing and supporting many of Mark Feehily’s signature parts alongside Shane, a quiet testament to brotherhood as much as musicianship.
Mark was absent from the celebration as he continues recovering after stepping back from touring in February 2024 due to serious health complications — including sepsis, pneumonia, and hernia surgery — circumstances that have been widely shared and compassionately understood by fans. Though he wasn’t onstage, Mark remains very much part of Westlife and is still featured on new music, with the band paying loving tribute to him throughout the show — a reminder that even in his absence, his voice and spirit still echo through every chorus.
