Tori Kelly has the kind of voice that hardly needs a massive stage to make an impact. In her new NPR Tiny Desk Concert, released September 10, 2026, the Grammy-winning singer brings her remarkable vocals into one of music’s most intimate settings — and reminds everyone just how impressive she can be live.
Backed by an all-woman band featuring several previous Tiny Desk performers, Kelly moves through songs from her latest album, God Must Really Love Me. The album reflects where Kelly is today, exploring her faith journey as well as her experiences as a new mother.
Her seven-song Tiny Desk set includes “Hurts So Good,” “Without You,” “Fly,” “Bird,” “Control” and “Tokyo.” She also reaches back into her catalog with brief tastes of “Nobody Love” and “Dear One,” giving longtime fans a little something extra.
One of the most charming moments comes with “Don’t You Worry ’Bout a Thing,” Stevie Wonder’s classic that Kelly famously performed as the voice of Meena in the animated movie Sing. With middle school students among the Tiny Desk audience, the selection feels especially fitting.
Kelly also shows off her musicianship throughout the performance, handling vocals and guitar while even adding a toy glockenspiel to the mix. But naturally, it is that voice that remains the centerpiece — soaring when it needs to soar, pulling back into something tender when the songs demand it, and sounding remarkably at home in the stripped-down Tiny Desk environment.
For an artist whose career has always been built around genuine vocal ability, Tiny Desk feels like the perfect setting. No giant production is necessary. Give Tori Kelly a microphone, a talented band and a room full of listeners, and she can take care of the rest.
