The story of Quasimodo, a hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral in 15th-century Paris.
Raised by Archdeacon Claude Frollo, he is kept hidden away from society due to his deformity, though longs to experience the outside world. When Quasimodo meets the beautiful gypsy Esmeralda, he becomes embroiled in the city's political and social conflicts, including Frollo's obsession with Esmeralda and the persecution of the Romani people. Based on the Victor Hugo's novel, and songs from the Disney animated feature, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" showcases the film's Academy Award®-winning score with music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.
