The Bird of Happiness is a 1940 American fantasy adventure film directed by Walter Lang and starring Shirley Temple. Adapted from the 1908 play by Maurice Maeterlinck, the film was Twentieth Century-Fox's colorful fantasy answer to the previous year's The Wizard of Oz.
