Croatian cello virtuoso HAUSER unveiled his breathtaking rendition of “The Music of the Night” on June 6, 2025, casting a lush, cinematic spell over Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic ballad from The Phantom of the Opera. This marks the third single from his upcoming orchestral album, Cinema, set to be released on September 12, 2025.
Accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Robert Ziegler, HAUSER transforms the theatrical classic into a swooning instrumental fantasy. His cello sings with passion and precision, replacing the Phantom’s voice with velvety vibrato and heart-tugging phrasing.
Cinema promises to be a grand, emotional journey through iconic film and stage melodies—previous singles include interpretations of “Writing’s On The Wall” and “Tara’s Theme.” But “Music of the Night” might be the emotional crown jewel, wrapping romance, mystery, and moonlight into four spellbinding minutes.
If cello could seduce the night itself, this is what it would sound like.
