Menuet (Stölzel) and Trio in G minor, BWV 929 consists of a minuet by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel, and a trio Bach added to this minuet.
The end result, BWV 929, Bach included in his Klavierbüchlein, a method book he wrote to help his son Wilhelm Friedemann improve his playing and composing. In this All of Bach recording, we also hear a young musical talent: Dymitr Szostak from Poland, who was 15 years old at the time of recording.
He took part in our talent development project for keyboardists, in which he and six other young harpsichordists from around the world received masterclasses from Siebe Henstra and worked towards a recording for All of Bach.
