Spicy Shrimp Dip
Spicy Shrimp Dip
This Spicy Shrimp Dip makes a great appetizer for that upcoming Big Game Day Party.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Pound Cooked Shrimp — cooked, peeled, deveined and chopped in pan beforehand with a tablespoon of chili powder and and tablespoon of oil.
  • 1/4 White Onion, 1 Red Bell Pepper, and 2-3 cloves of garlic - all chopped/diced and sautéed beforehand.
  • 1/2 Fresh Lemon for the juice.
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh shredded Parmesan
  • 3/4 cup fresh shredded Mozzarella
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Chopped Green Onions as a topping.
  • Spiceology Honey Habanero Seasoning on top for taste.

OVEN DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium sized, oven safe skillet, melt your butter on medium heat. Add the onion and pepper and sauté for 3 minutes. Move your veggies to the side of the pan and add in the chopped up shrimp, garlic and season with your chili powder and salt to taste. Toss everything around for 2 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice and Worcestershire.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and mix in the cream cheese, sour cream and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella, parmesan and chives until smooth and combined. Top the mixture with the remaining mozzarella and bake for 20 minutes. Turn on your broiler for 1 or 2 minutes to achieve those golden brown bubbles.
  4. Top with some fresh chives and serve with toasted French bread or tortilla chips.

NOTE

Any spicy seasoning can work here like Chipotle, cayenne or you can go the Old Bay or Cajun seasoning route.
