
Easy, delicious and super addictive Korean style braised eggs!
INGREDIENTS
- 8 eggs
- half an onion
- one red pepper
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp water
- 3 tbsp cooking wine
- 3 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp salt
DIRECTIONS
- Step 1: Boiling eggs
- Pour a moderate amount of water into the pot. Add 1 tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp of vinegar. Put the eggs. Boil the eggs for about 12 minutes.
- Immediately drop the eggs into ice water.
- Step 2: Cutting vegetables
- Slice 1 chili pepper. This is optional. Slice half onion. Slice green onion
- Step 3: Boil eggs in sauce
- Add 5 tbsp of soy sauce, 3 tbsp of water, 3 tbsp of cooking wine, 3 tbsp of sugar, and eggs. Boil it over high heat for about 5 minutes. Add sliced onions and chilies. And then reduce the heat over medium. Cook for another 3 more 3 minutes.
Braised Egg in Soy Sauce is a very popular side dish in Korea, and it goes very well with rice. You can make a large quantity of the Braised Egg in Soy Sauce in one time and store it in the refrigerator for at least a week. So, it is a pretty handy cuisine.
