These Hot Honey Garlic Shrimp are juicy, buttery, sweet, spicy, andpacked with bold flavor. Jumbo shrimp are seasoned, seared, tossed in garlic butter, then coated in a homemade hot honey glaze for the ultimate quick and easy seafood recipe.
INGREDIENTS
For the Shrimp
- 1½ lbs jumbo shrimp peeled & deveined
- 1½ tablespoons seafood seasoning
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- Zest & juice of 1 lemon
For the Hot Honey Sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
DIRECTIONS
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Add them to a bowl and season with seafood seasoning and black pepper. Toss until fully coated.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred.
- Add minced garlic, dried thyme, and lemon zest to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in fresh lemon juice.
- In a small saucepan, melt together the honey and butter over low heat. Stir in cayenne pepper, chili powder, smoked paprika, and kosher salt until smooth.
- Pour the hot honey sauce over the shrimp and gently toss until fully coated in the sweet and spicy glaze.
- Garnish with parsley, flaky salt, or extra lemon zest and serve immediately.
