- This recipe is known the the US as farmers cheese, and is quite similar to cottage cheese. Cheeses like this are also made in France (fromage blanc), Germany (Quark), Mexico (requeson) and many other countries.
- I much prefer it to actual cream cheese as it is so much lower in fat and pretty high in protein. It makes for a much lighter, tastier cheesecake.
