Did you catch the rainbow sunflower fall wreath I made a few weeks ago? While I was at Hobby Lobby shopping for that wreath, I had so many fun ideas that I decided one fall wreath was just not enough and I ended up buying stuff for three wreaths. Haha!

Today I’m going to show you how I turned a buffalo check charger plate into a unique door hanging.

For the charger plate, you can use any patterns or colors that fit your vibe. Hobby Lobby had a lot of cute ones and I’ve seen them at Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target and Michaels too. Just make sure that the charger plate is lightweight plastic, wood, melamine or another shatterproof material so it’s easy to hang and doesn’t break with an accidental door slam.

This craft is super simple. Watch the short video tutorial below if you’d rather skip the written instructions.

Step 1: Remove the jute string from the “Hello Fall” wooden words, then paint it in a color that coordinates with the floral picks of your choice.

Step 2: Use hot glue to attach the words to the front of the charger plate.

Step 3: Attach a loop of ribbon to the back of the charger with a generous amount of hot glue.

Step 4: Gently bend and shape the two floral picks into a rounded shape so they fit nicely along the top edge of the wreath. Slip them into the ribbon loop and secure the ribbon closed around the center of the picks with more glue. If they aren’t sitting nicely along the edge of the plate, secure more points with glue.

Step 5: Add a ribbon bow if desired.
