Stone balancing is the art of stacking stones on top of each other without using anything like glue, wires, or supports. It's all about finding the natural points of balance between the rocks so they stay put just by gravity and friction.
People often do stone balancing for meditation, artistic expression, or even just as a calming outdoor activity. It takes a lot of patience and a good eye (and feel) for weight and center of mass. Some artists create simple stacks, while others make really intricate sculptures that look like they should fall over but somehow don't!
You might see it in nature parks, beaches, or riversides — but it's good practice to make sure you're not disturbing the natural environment too much when doing it.
Have you ever seen it before? Or were you thinking about trying it yourself?
