Mahjong or mah-jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is commonly played by four players but can be played with as few as two.
You may recognize Mahjong from the scene in Crazy Rich Asians. I know I played it as a kid myself. It was unusual though. I didn't know any other households that played it. We played a lot of various games though.
