My mother bought this as an impulse purchase for a road trip we went on. I've always loved Simon & Garfunkel, but I've never been crazy about concert albums. This recording is truly remarkable. I'm sure a lot of time was put in to remaster it, because it sounds unbelievably clear. They include a few moments where Paul and Art speak in their subdued voices to the audience, explaining bits and pieces of their songs. These parts were great, and definitely helped capture the decade. All in all, you really can't go wrong with this.

The fun thing about this is the nuance differences in the live performances. There are just enough differences to be worthy of adding to a collection that includes the studio or standard versions, esp. BOTW. Their harmony is truly truly amazing. Pauls writing and voice and Arts absolutely one of a kind voice makes them and this collection worth having.

I just picked this up - Remastered in 2008. Apparently this was there last tour for 13 years. This 17 show compilation was recorded in Nov of 1969. Bridge Over Troubled water 9Their Crowning Glory) would come out on Jan 21, 1970. This Live recording was supposed to follow 'Bridge & be their 6th album. Nope - because the partnership disolved & the rest is history. Even so - this live set caputures S & G @ thier peak! This is how they sounded just as they reached the top of the world. Their creativity, energy & chemistry were poerty in motion. They captured the times & did so in a timeless historic ageless manner that holds up today as fresh & meaningful as it did FORTY Years Ago. WOW MAN - Now That's HEAVY ain"t it? Stay Groovy Man. Peace - Out! hahahaha don't worry - the songs hold up much better than those far out cliche's.
