I bought this cassette years ago and wore it out. I then bought the CD and did the same. This man is the entire package; voice, guitar, lyrics. A one man band, to be sure. This album is a keeper. Absolutely love it.

featuring the late Steve Mariott on Out Of The Blue on his last recording thei album reestablished Preter Frampton as a solid concert draw in the 90's and beyond

This is actually my favorite PF studio album. The album review at the top of the page is way out wrong. He does not know what he's talking about. This album has so many great songs and the guitar tones are stellar. Great album, buy it!
  • One of his best albums ever!!!

I'm not sure if the writer of the i-tunes review actually listened to this album. Calling this album "not very good" and "uninspired" in simply not true. To begin with, Off the Hook won a grammy for best rock instrumental. Can't Take That Away is a staple in his live shows and was great on his Comes Alive II album, as was Day in the Sun, You, and Waiting on Your Love. For the exception of the self titled Frampton LP, this is his best studio album ever. This is Frampton at his rock and blues best. The guitar work is fantastic, and he's not trying to chase top 40 fame, rather, he is being himself

Back in 1994 when I heard "Day In The Sun" on the radio I knew I had to have it. The whole album flows. I must confess before I purchased this CD, I didn't know much about Frampton. Aside from a single that a DJ friend of mine gave me, I didn't have any of his music. Now he's my favorite musician. Frampton will probably never top the success of "Frampton Comes Alive", but this is still my favorite Frampton disc.

This album is incredible! I have always liked Peter Frampton music, but this one really gets me! CAN'T TAKE THAT AWAY is brilliant blues without sounding like every other blues song that comes along. The whole album flows as one finely crafted listen. There is not a bad one here! CHANGING ALL THE TIME, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO YOU, SHELTER THROUGH THE NIGHT -- it goes on and on.. all great hooks and melodies that burn into your mind and have you humming or singing them for days. I don't have the version with the bonus acoustic tracks (that is here) because I bought my copy back when it was released in 1994 or so. This is a must have for Frampton fans, and for anyone who likes great songs, great lyrics, great melodies and of course, great GUITARS! Thanks for such a super album Peter (if you ever read this!) One of my desert island discs!!
  • Better Than His Early Works!

Fuller sound, deeper lyrical content, excellent guitar riffs, like the early days, should be cranked up to "fully" enjoy the depth of emotion and flow. I think this album is clearly his best, period. I hope Peter releases one like this again. I have seen him in concert as well and he delivers an awesome set with energy not seen in other classic rock artists. Go Peter Go!
