Maren has struck a hard balance between emotionally depth and fun times across her work so far, and this feels a lot like a continuation and maturation of that effort. I’m super excited for Humble Quest and the music that will come from the hard last few years we’ve all experienced.
I also am frustrated she gets brigaded by people who are mad she said Nashville has a problem with racism, which is blatantly clear from the vocalized experiences of Black writers and artists in town. She said the truth. If that upsets you maybe look at why instead of attacking her for speaking up.

As expected, “Circles Around This Town” is another fantastic song from Maren! Great autobiographical lyrics, production & melody. Feels like it could fit on her first album Hero.
