Got here via Travelers and was very pleasantly surprised! Her voice is melodic, mature, and the song is well written and clever. I can see putting this in my regular rotation just to jam to. I hope she comes out with an entire album with this same energy! Listening to all of her samples makes me strongly disagree with the “country” classification. She truly sounds like she has an Irish folk background, which opens her up to a more global range of music to performs. Reminds me of when I first heard Ed Sheeran and it was a wonderful gift to hear a few full on straight Irish tunes, which confirmed what I was hearing in his other music. Ms. Porter seems like a lyricist, musician, and singer from the video, which is a plus in my book! Keep this same energy and you’ll be a triple threat in the world of entertainment!
