  • Not Lit - Change Your Name If You're Country Now

Title says it all. This isn't "Lit" the band. It's country and I don't like it. Bring me back the original rock group. Not this crap.

Some have called this selling out, others have said it's them growing as artists. My view is that it's much more of them trying to expand their audience. You can call it selling out, but it's necessary as country music is just more popular right now than the pop/rock these guys are known for. The songs are pretty catchy, very generic country like I say in the title, but they are enjoyable and a good escape. Overall I do give this 3 stars just due to the generic quality of the country songs. Hopefully they can evolve into something a little more unique in the future.

Country is awful. I’m sorry that’s my opinion. If they want to make this music that’s fine but change your name and start over as a country band. This is not LIt

I love all their albums and this one doesn’t disappoint. It is different than their other albums. If you think they sold out, grow the eff up. Artists evolve as they get older. If you want the same album over and over just listen to their first album.

First of all, let me say that I have always felt that Lit were very under appreciated as a rock band. Their first 2 albums are excellent rock/pop releases with great riffs and creative lyrics. There are several unknown songs within these two releases that should have been major radio hits for them, including “Perfect One”, “Slip”, and more. Needless to say, I welcomed the idea of a new Lit release, but was floored to learn that they have switched to country. While I commend their choice to do something different, this new music is not my choice. The confusing thing is that I just saw them live 3 days ago and do not remember hearing a single country song.

I'm a GenX'er who still loves the rock and pop punk of the 90's but these days I mostly listen to country music. I had no idea Lit had a country inspired album. I just listened to it and am blown away! I never write reviews but I had to for this one. Well done guys! Every song is a winner. I can't remember the last time I bought an entire album on itunes. But I just did for "These Are the Days". Thanks for this great collections of songs. Hope to see you on tour soon in Central California to support this fine work.
