Romeo Must Die was a decent movie for Aaliyah's first film. Jet Li always does his thang and the soundtrack was hot! Aaliyah's diehard fans would love to see more Aaliyah music videos as well as having more music from our fallen songbird (may she rest in peace). It's tragic that people who've been fans since the beginning and people who may have heard very little of Aaliyah's music don't have access to most of or songs and none of her music videos which were great! Please iTunes I know you've been getting tons of requests.... Please add Aaliyah's music and videos for the fans. We loved her music.....We still love her music!

Romeo Must Die is A martial arts action drama loosely based on Romeo & Juliet. I say loosely cause if your expecting a tale of star crossed love and suicide you won't find it here. You still get the idea of two families at war with each other, and you still get the idea of a guy from one family who meets a girl from the other family, but that's as far as it goes for Shakespeare in this film. Jet Li and Aaliyah play the two protagonists in this interpretation and instead of wanting to fall madly in love and commit suicide, they team up and settle their family's disfunction's instead. Romeo Must Die is a unique looking film, even though it has its flaws it's still manages to look and be something you haven't seen before. The cinematography is excellent and it has crazy visual effects that are well produced by the same effects company that created all of the visual effects for The Matrix. This film was produced between 1999 and 2000 and praising a film these days for having effects like the Matrix may seem laughable but even for being 15 years since this movies release the visuals still look awesome. This movie is very entertaining, wild and over the top. It may not satisfy literary buffs or star Leonardo Decaprio but if your a fan of action movies you"ll love this film.

There's like 5 minutes of this movie that was filmed in the Bay, but so what? The Kung Fu fight scenes are excellent. Among All Time Best. This movie is solid and a good time through out. I don't recocgnize a single Bay Area location besides the Opening Credits. But, this movie is so goo d I don't care.
