Late Night with the Devil

Contrary to some of the other comments, I thought the dialogue was quite witty and focused. I thought this whole film was a tightly run ship and something different than the usual horror fare. Certainly a movie I will keep in mind for future viewings--it had it's own flair. It kind of reminded of me an early Cronenberg film mixed with some original Twilight Zone and some homage to 70's horror films. I would highly recommend watching it.

I gave up “horror” in the 90’s but “Late Night…” is a breath of fresh air. Always staying true to the era, the cliches, the insincerity, the desperate eye on the ratings, I enjoyed every minute of Late Night with the Devil… The possessed girl was creepy, the main guy was believable… He wasn’t just a jaded guy blind with ambition. He leaned towards it, but he was balanced too… a good character … I kind of almost loved this movie.

The Actors are great, but this film is one of those rare occurrences where the Acting, Casting, Lighting, Sets, Costumes, Audio, Music, Cinematography, Special FX, Editing, are Excellent! BUT the film FAILS MISERABLY when it comes to WRITING/DIRECTING. OMG, the script was obviously written by someone who knew someone who owed somone a favor. The EXCEPTIONAL ACTORS are doing their very best but something is really wrong here. The HIGH rating on this film must be due those "reviewers" who are eating glue..and smelling their own farts!

If like me you're serious about cinema, then you might want to swerve this one. Firstly its a ''tongue in cheek'' horror, certainly not serious a effort anyway. Acting was sub par and the story flat and generally pretty lame. Not sure where all the good reviews came from TBH?..... strange.

Fun thriller, not too much horror but it is creepy and well acted 7.5/10
