Both versions by these iconic ladies became...iconic. Then Kelly Clarkson did a mashup of the two for the 2022 American Country Music Awards.
When asked in an interview if it bothered her that Whitney's version became so popular; Dolly's reponse in her sweet country twang was legendary...
