I Will Always Love You
I Will Always Love You
Originally written and sung by Dolly Parton in 1974.

Released a second time for her movie "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" in 1982.  It got a third chance in 1992 by Whitney Houston for her movie "The Bodyguard".  Both versions by these iconic ladies became...iconic.

When Dolly was asked in an interview if it bothered her that Whitney's version became so popular; Dolly's reponse in her sweet country twang was legendary...

"Of course not!  Those residual checks cashed just fine".

Kelly Clarkson did a mashup of the two for the 2022 American Country Music Awards.

Lastly, we can't forget the amazing performance Jessie J did on the "Singer 2018" show in China.  A singing competition for professional singers of the East.  She was the first Western singer they had ever invited to participate.  Needless to say she won that season.  It was a great performance for the Finale.
